TSLA -1.71% vs Nasdaq -0.52% to close at $348.75 · 7:04am AEST
US cash is closed for the weekend. Tesla's last regular close is Friday: $348.75, down 1.71 percent, with the Nasdaq down 0.52 percent. That gave back Thursday's 2.60 percent bounce, and it lagged a down tape rather than leading one. Volume was about 33 million versus a 41 million average, so don't hang a thesis on the session. After-hours printed $347.87, down another quarter point. Don't overfit that print. Next cash open is Monday around 11:30pm Melbourne.
Tesla Motors Australia emailed Hardware 3 owners that FSD Supervised v14 Lite is in active development for Australia and New Zealand. The same note says it is already rolling in North America and South Korea. Not a Tesla App picked that up from an owner who posted the email Friday. That is development underway, not a release date, and Europe still does not have a matching note.
Einride's CEO, Roozbeh Charli, told FreightWaves they expect about 75 of their 500 Tesla Semis deployed this year and the rest by the end of 2027. Teslarati flagged the interview Friday. The original August 18 order was phased over 24 months starting September. This tightens that into a year-end first tranche. It is still an order, not trucks already in the yard.
Tesla is pushing 2026.26.6.5 in North America, which puts the Summer Update on the FSD track with Supervised 14.3.8. Not a Tesla App has it on about 114 cars, under a percent of the fleet. Treat that as the feature merge owners have been waiting on, not a new autonomy stack.
Tesla is raising Wheel and Tire Protection Plan rates on October 1. Notices that Drive Tesla Canada and Not a Tesla App saw put Model 3 Performance at $24 a month from $16, and Model Y Performance at $24 from $20. Cybertruck windshield coverage goes the other way, $35 down to $25. Coverage is unchanged. Other models are not confirmed yet.
On the Europe configurator, Model Y Premium is swapping Black and White for Zen Grey at the same 1,200 euros. Not a Tesla App spotted it on rear-wheel and all-wheel Premium. Performance still has white. Shanghai already made that swap in April for China and export markets, including Australia. This is Berlin catching up, not a new US option.
Calendar: Cybercab Austin invite event is 3 September, RSVP 30 August at 11:59pm PT. Tesla Semi has an invite-only Semi Rollout at Sparks on 24 September, RSVP 2 September.
